A solicitor with over 33 years experience in commercial law and business. Andrew was the national head of the Business Restructuring Department at top 20 UK law firm, DWF LLP. A partner with this firm for over 23 years. Rated by both Legal 500 and Chambers Legal Directory for 12 years, Andrew has dealt with most of the legal issues facing SME’s throughout his career. In Andrew’s last 8 years with the DWF he also headed up the banking, finance and debt recovery teams leading to a large amount of legal work and interaction with lenders. Andrew is a former managing partner of DWF’s Manchester office.
The experience of playing a significant part in the management, and growth of a professional services business has proved invaluable. Andrew believes that this experience has given him a unique perspective on the various challenges that face those running their own businesses. Andrew continued to play a major part at a senior and strategic level with DWF for some 12 years until 2014.
A solicitor with over nine years experience at an international law firm, Jennifer is a specialist in restructuring and insolvency. Her particular expertise cover a range of domestic and international, contentious and non-contentious business support and advisory work. Jennifer has dealt with all aspects of the issues faced by a business through its lifecycle and has acted across a wide range of industries and sectors including real estate, financial services, retail, manufacturing and aerospace. Whilst her focus has been restructuring, Jennifer’s experience has been varied, encompassing areas as broad as banking, real estate, construction, intellectual property and pensions alongside the more traditional turnaround and restructuring work streams.
Chris is a solicitor with over 11 years’ experience. He provides advice on a broad spectrum of commercial issues including contracts, company law, restructuring and litigation. In recent years he has focused on dispute resolution. This has included trials in the High Court, 3 cases at Court of Appeal level and an appearance in the Supreme Court. But more often his work is directed at finding solutions without the need to go to court with the attendant delay and cost.
He trained and qualified with Meade King in Bristol. In each of his first two years after qualifying he was recognised as an “Associate to Watch” in Chambers’ Legal Directory. In 2008 he relocated to Manchester and joined Addleshaw Goddard, one of the 25 largest law firms in the UK and one of the largest and best regarded firms in the north. He was part of their successful Business Support & Restructuring team for over 9 years, advising banks, accountancy firms, companies of all sizes and their directors on a variety of often high value and complex situations.
Jenny has over six years in-house commercial experience. Having previously worked for a large IT software and solutions provider to the public sector, she developed a varied commercial knowledge, including contract, disputes, procurement, and general department and business support.
